Appeal of Paris for a humanitarian agreement immediately

With families of the hostages in Colombia and all the committees support, we welcome the release of Gloria, Luis Eladio, and Orlando Jorge Eduardo. We thank from the bottom of my heart the President Sarkozy, President Chavez and Senator Piedad Cordoba for the constancy of their efforts for the release of all hostages.
The latest news on the state of health of Ingrid and some of his companions in captivity are more qu'alarmantes, they are appalling. Ingrid and his companions were simply dying. This is absolutely unacceptable because this woman and these men are, for their dignity and courage, the honor of Colombia and its flag. We are in a humanitarian emergency absolute. We condemn with all our strength appalling ways used by the FARC to justify their struggle and we strongly reiterate that they are accountable to the international community in the life of each of the hostages they hold. However, we believe that the liberation unilateral gestures made by the guerrillas have indicated they partially lifted their intransigence and are open to dialogue, through a humanitarian agreement.


We call on the heads of state from around the world to lend their support to President Uribe for the latter, in order to save the lives of his countrymen, civilians, soldiers and policemen, bravely accepts as soon as possible with the support and presence of the international community to discuss conditions for a humanitarian agreement in the area of Pradera and Florida.


We call on the Colombian people to support our request in memory of all their compatriots, victims of abduction and died for their country. We believe specifically to the ten hostages Antioquia murdered in May 2003 and the eleven members of Valle del Cauca disappeared in June 2007.
