LE FIGARO. Have you measured the consequences of your film, for you and your country?
Geert WILDERS. Nobody is as much as I aware of the threat. But if I had to stop, I would have done three years ago. I lived in prisons, military barracks, and the pressure has grown in recent months. But I am an elected official and I lead my struggle under the banner of the law. If I had to give up what I think, the opponents of democracy would have won.

Your country has been alarmed by diplomatic and economic fallout that might cause your movie.
My film is not yet released, nobody has seen, but already condemned the muftis, predicted that the blood will be paid, the Arab countries threaten the Netherlands embargo! And my country, rather than asking a few imams to remain silent, rather than recalling our democratic principles and freedom of expression, by a ridiculous and shameful admission of weakness, yields to the threat and our embassies prepares for the worst !

In your Islamic values and democratic values are irreconcilable, irreparably. How the Netherlands can they integrate their Muslim population?
I do not want more new immigrants. I have nothing against individuals, but we have a problem with Islamic Ideology. I do not want to refer those who are here and want to assimilate, but I tell them to get rid of this ideology, which I described as fascist.

What is the choice you offer a Muslim Dutch?
It is true that according to the Koran, this book terrible, you can not give up being Muslim. Less than risking death. If they want to call themselves Muslims, new Muslims or as they want, it does not bother me. What I care about is that they are separating part of this violence and intolerance which is in the Koran.

Do you think that the provocation and slogans to piecemeal make it happen?
Unlike the others, we, Freedom Party, we do not mâchons our words. One million Muslims for 16 million Dutch, too. We are the only ones to rise against Muslim immigration, the projects of mosques, Koranic schools. Some say they also want to deny the cultural relativism. But I say this more clearly: my culture is better than Islamic culture. We do not treat women, homosexuals, political relations in society, as this culture delayed. Individuals are equal. But all cultures does not apply.

Do you really fear for your identity and the identity of the Netherlands?
I truly believe that our freedom is threatened by what I call the Islamic tsunami. If in the future, Muslims approaching or entering a majority in the Netherlands, we will lose everything why we fought: our democracy, our freedom, our laws. The chauvinism is not a dirty word.
